The Colourful Collection

Hey ladies,

Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

So as most of you may have already noticed, Helen Steele has created a new and fun athleisure line with Dunnes Stores which was launched last week.

Artist, designer and printmaker Helen Steele is usually photographed in paint-spattered clothes, brush in hand in her busy studio where she develops her original colourful artwork for print. This work has always been vital to her fashion line and she is well known for the vibrant, splash-printed dresses, tunics, kaftans and jackets.

Helens latest collaboration is with Dunnes Stores, a 21-piece collection influenced by colour and abstract patterns. This athleisure wear range that is sure to brighten those January blues.

The collection went on sale last Tuesday, January 8th, featuring dark, splash-printed hoodies, quilted jackets racer back tops and leggings with an energetic street and sporty feel, aimed at all body types and is available in sizes XS to XL. The athleisure collection can be worn to the gym or worn casually for a more street style look.

I was fortunate enough to attend the launch in Dunnes Stores on Grafton Street and as soon as I seen it I knew I had to have some items from the colourful collection! And of course I left with three items from the collection which I am showcasing here.  I am hoping my new gear will motivate me to get my ass into the gym but either way, this collection will definitely turn heads for all the right reasons.

As Helen is a fellow Monaghan lady, I was also kindly invited into Dunnes Store Monaghan to try the entire collection on and boy was I in my element!

However I will leave you with these pics that I have taken of the collection and let you be the judge but for me it’s definitely a thumbs up and I am already looking forward to her second edition with Dunnes Stores.

Must dash,

Rebecca Rose Xx

The Python Print!

Happy Sunday!

I haven’t been on here properly since before Christmas. I hope you all had a lovely break and those January blues are well dusted off by now.

I am excited to now get back into full swing and bring you lots of new and gorgeous looks for SS19. Can you believe it is now 2019!!

So kicking off this year is a very cute but wearable outfit from New Look.

I get messages all the time from people looking for cute casual outfits that can be changed up from day to night and this dress is exactly what I think you gals are looking for.

Last season we’ve been spotlighting animal prints as one of A/W18’s hotttest trends but now, there’s one in particular to watch: snake. From the street style scene to Instagram, snake print pieces have been emerging as this season’s most-wanted animal print at Fashion Month. And if you already have leopard fatigue, usher in a little touch of snake for a fresh alternative that will still act as a neutral in your wardrobe.

Go for a bold midi-length dress in the print that can be worn from day to night. Layer a blazer or cropped jacket over the look for the office or wear it with a pair of strappy heels for a night out. Simple!

Don’t hang up your snakeskin boots just yet as the animal print frenzy is set to continue into spring/summer with leopard print, zebra and tiger as the frontrunners at Tom Ford and Gucci.

It’s a jungle out there.

Lots of Love

Rebecca Rose Xx
